How can you see needless suffering and not act?

That’s what got us started on this journey. Seeing young, healthy and adoptable animals being euthanized simply for lack of shelter space is heartbreaking. We felt like there had to be a way to save them but local rescues were almost always full and finding enough local fosters or adopters was an impossible task. Then came the lightbulb moment of finding a way to move TN dogs from overcrowded southern shelters to the empty and waiting shelters in northern states. And with that, a mission was born. Laura started out renting vans and doing solo drives, and things have grown over the past several years to a place where we now own three vans and have a small group of volunteer drivers.

We hit the highways weekly in our efforts to relocate abandoned animals quickly and efficiently. We currently average about two transports each week and transport around 200 animals per month. Weekly transports allow us to routinely ease the burden on local shelters and rescues which gives them the space to keep animals that need a little more time to find their perfect match.

Some of the rural southern pounds aren’t even open to the public. Without rescues to pull the dogs and without the ability to transport them to safety, they would just live out a stray hold period and meet their end.

However, the unfortunate reality of transport is that it costs money! We don’t have adoption revenue to help offset expenses, so we rely on generous people who see the vision to help us cover the cost of giving these hopeless animals a new start. We are honored to give them a chance to live and we hope you’ll join us in saving even more lives in the future!
